An EnduroKA postcard from Brands Hatch
Report by David Harbey

Choices, choices, choices … 5 hours in the car to Cadwell Park to watch rallying or 3 hours in the car to watch Ford KAs go round and round the Brands Hatch Indy circuit ? Normally, it would be a slam dunk rallying at Cadwell, but I rather fancied the easier drive (and later start) plus the huge 46 car grid at Brands meaning there would always be something going past to shoot.

It was all pretty much as expected with the damp track to start with proving interesting. A dry line appeared; the safety car appeared from time to time as various KAs ended up in the gravel at Paddock Hill Bend or Clearways; sausage, chips, beans and onion rings were consumed at Hailwoods and then I wandered into the pits for the first time in many years to get the interesting shots back to Graham Hill Bend.
Then it got dark and started raining so I came home to find that second and third in the race had been disqualified.

Herewith my postcard from my day out at Brands Hatch EnduroKA.

It is not the first time PistonClick has featured EnduroKA - here’s our report from the Donington round in April 2022
